The Maroons had three starters out but was
able to put away T & J Construction by a score of 14-10.With Grego, Jim and Scott out, the biggest
obstacle of the game day was fielding a full team of ten.Dave, Kyle, and Mitch subbed for the
regulars and all contributed going a combined 6 for 9 with 5 RBIs and 4 runs
scored.
The game was much
closer than it should have been.7 of
T & J's 10 runs came after key Maroon errors and two of the Maroon's
innings ended on base running gaffes.Still, the mistakes were overcome by a consistent attack at the plate
that racked up 14 runs on 22 hits in just 4 innings.
This victory puts the
Maroons over the .500 mark at the mid-point of the season for the second
season in a row.
