The Maroons took Jackson Dawson's best punch and then delivered one of their own.  Then, for the second game in a row, they came through with a walk off victory.
The game unfolded slowly.  After both teams had an easy three up, three down inning in their half of the forth, the game saw Jackson Dawson clinging to a 2-1 lead.  Then, the floodgates opened.  Jackson Dawson batted around to start the fifth before the Maroons could record the first out.  By the time the bottom of the fifth started the Maroons found themselves in an 11 run hole.  But 11 runs were exactly what the Maroons got.  The bottom of the order (Jesse, Rob, & Jim) led off the inning with three successive hits and all three scored twice during the inning.  The game was all knotted up going into the sixth and final inning.
The defense suddenly regained its prowess and sent Jackson Dawson back to the field without a run scored.  In the bottom of the inning, Brett, Chris, & Doug hit consecutive singles to load up the bases.  Kyle, who replaced Weber just before game time, came through with a sacrifice fly to complete the come back.
The Maroons take their league best 3 & 0 record into the bye week before playing thus far winless Woodruff Road Presbyterian (9:30, October 20th)
