The Maroons rebound
from their game one loss to post their first win in a dramatic come from
behind victory.Timely hitting was
key to tonight’s victory over McCar Homes.Matt W., Rob, and Jesse were all perfect at the plate going a combined
9 for 9 with 3 RBIs and 4 runs scored.The drama, however, came in the bottom of the last inning.With the Maroons trailing 12-9 and 1 out
already in the books, Matt W. legged out an infield hit beating the throw
from McCar’s shortstop.Alex and Matt
G. followed with singles of their own to load the bases for the Maroons
reigning MVP Brett.Brett, who
started off the season 1 for 5 with 1 RBI, left no doubt, slamming the first
pitch clear over the fence and into the left field woods for the one run
victory.One of the best games in
Maroons history!
