The Maroons evened their record last night with a 15-3 whacking of Cox Electrical.  Offensive contributions included everyone in the line up.  From top to bottom, every Maroon had at least one hit and one RBI.  The second inning was the decisive inning.  The Maroons were ahead 3-1 with one down when Grego hit a double play ball to the second baseman, but Weber took out the shortstop and broke up the play.  With two outs, the Maroons rattled off seven consecutive hits and effectively put the game out of reach.
The defense wasn’t perfect, but most of the mistakes were minimized.  There were no two out errors until the last inning of the game leading to two of CE’s three runs.  All in all, the effort was a good improvement on game one.
Game 3 matches the Maroons against two-time Y-league champion, Elliott Davis, AKA, The Fighting Accountants.
