The Maroons offense
could only push seven runs across the plate during the second game of the
fall season.However, on this night,
seven runs were enough for a three run win.The heart of the order, Grego, Brett, and Chris, went 7 for 9 combined
with 5 RBI’s, 5 runs scored, and 4 extra base hits.Jeff chipped in a perfect night at the plate, legging out a
triple in the 4th and scoring on a sacrifice fly.
Obviously, the
defense was solid allowing only 4 runs but Crossroads helped out a lot.16 of their 21 outs were fly/pop-outs or
balls to Grego on the rubber.
The Maroons
accomplished two firsts tonight. The team is both 2-0 and two games over .500
for the first time in franchise history.
