McCar Homes fell victim
to Brett and The Maroons again.Brett
led the offense going 3 for 3, with 2 homeruns and 5 RBIs.Doug chipped in a three run shot for some
insurance runs that turned out to be the difference in the game.The contest was tight for most of the
game.At the end of 4 innings, McCar
was up 4 to 2 with time running out.Jesse led off the top of the fifth with a four pitch walk but after
Willey popped out to short and Matt W. hit into a fielder’s choice, The
Maroons were down to what could have been their final out.Mike and Matt G. stepped up and delivered
a pair of clutch RBI singles to tie the game.With the pressure off, Brett and Doug made sure the game was
out of reach.This win assures The
Maroons of the third seed in the playoff tourney on June 5.
